We had a mixed experience with Brian. We are extremely happy that he was able to sell our condo, and appreciate the effort he put into finding the buyer. He was relentless with his showings!However, we were very disappointed with how a separately owned boat slip was handled. The slip was not part of our listing agreement and was never listed for sale with our condo. Our listing simply stated “boat dock available.” The slip was intended to be sold separately as its own transaction by another owner.The boat slip was nevertheless written into the purchase contract, and we were told that we had only 24 hours to sign the contract. We signed it believing that the slip had been included in error and that the issue would be corrected.Instead, the slip remained part of the transaction, which created an additional commission issue. Our listing realtor ultimately reduced her own commission to offset that commission so that we did not have to pay the additional amount ourselves. We appreciated our listing realtor doing that, but we were disappointed that the situation arose at all. The slip Brian included in his contract was not ours to sell, nor did he have the authority to include in his written contract. Only the owner of the slip had that right.The handling of the separately owned boat slip left us disappointed and would make us cautious about recommending him without first making sure that all separately owned assets and commissions are clearly agreed upon in writing. We were going to give Brian a five-star review, but the fact he would not budge on this issue left a bad impression with us which was too bad.

Brian was wonderful in the whole buying process and kept everything intact during negotiations. We have always wanted to add on to our property and this was a perfect addition to our home property.

I cannot imagine a better realtor or team than Klingel Homes. Brian and his team have gone above and beyond helping us find the right home. Fact is, my wife, Tricia, first found out about Brian the summer of 2023. We were not planning to move for at least 3 years, but Brian and his team were happy to show us condos knowing we would not be buying for quite a long time. Our home search journey with Brian began in July 2023 where he showed us a number of condos on our way to Pentwater for vacation. He even came to Pentwater to show us a home for sale! Brian and his team helped search for and find many condos that fit our criteria over the next 2 years. Now, as of October 2025, Brian not only found us our perfect home but negotiated the purchase, closing, and we move in this week! Brian and his team helped us tremendously! They did everything possible to help us find our perfect home. We are first-time home buyers and didn't know anything about the area before moving in, but Brian's knowledge of the Norton Shores/Grand Haven/Muskegon area really helped us hone in on what we wanted. Brian isn't the type to just sell you a home, he will give you all the facts about what you want to know and will always have an honest and kind answer. His familiarity with the homes and the people also helped us understand what was available to us and really helped us find not just a good home, but a GREAT one.
